9 Questions to Help Your Therapy Practice Go From Surviving to Thriving

How was business this year? Did you meet your goals?

Had you set any goals?

Sustaining a business is hard work. Leveling up, even harder. I know how difficult it can be to move beyond survival mode. I struggled for so many years not knowing when the next client would come or whether I could pay all my bills. Even now, I can easily revert back to hustle mode, riding the feast and famine roller coaster. It’s exhausting.

There’s this part of your mind that is scared; you want to remain safe and cozy in certainty. You might even believe that leveling up your business requires too much work, too much luck, or a change in who you are. You might even think you have to lose something precious to be successful.

Your business shouldn’t be about “doing less bad” from year to year. Success comes from actually facing the fact that you have needs and desires. It’s about awakening and honoring that part of you that cares about money, your freedom, and yourself. This part of you is vital, and when you shut it down, your business reflects your lack of joy and hope.

Reflecting on your past year’s business performance helps you gauge your progress and identify areas for growth. If you set goals, it’s a chance to see how close you came to achieving them and what adjustments might be needed.
